The Helio Mysto sports touch sensitive four buttons on the front of the device, with vibration feedback to confirm when you touch them. The d-pad is circular, with a slight hump in each of the four directions, and a well-defined and easy to use button central. The opposite is also where you find the Mysto the beautiful 2.2 “color display with resolution 240×320 pixels. The left side of the handset houses of the volume rocker and a power combined plug / headset port conveniently covered by a small but robust port .
The button at the Mysto awkwardly located on the right side of the device, and is curiously painted bright red, making it very out of place. Below the power button is the camera button, which is also difficult, since you have to push open the phone to use the camera, and is operated in portrait mode. The back of the phone is good, with a symbol and Helio Samsung label pressed in. There is also a memory card microSD slot, but unfortunately, it requires that you want to remove the back cover and battery to access it.
The sliding mechanism on the Mysto is smooth and spring-assisted, which makes it fun to open and close. Sliding open the handset shows the standard numeric keypad with excellent lighting. The keys, though, are completely flat, and offer limited tactile feedback. The combination of touch-sensitive buttons and a flat keyboard make the Mysto a great learning curve. The 2 megapixel camera with LED flash and self-portrait mirror, appears when you slide the phone open.
